Kilian Manufacturing Anti-Corrosive Custom Bearings For Pressure Washer Hose Reel

A high-pressure cleaning machine manufacturer submitted a request to the Kilian team. This manufacturer needed a custom bearing solution that could handle a guide hose reel. The custom bearing had to allow the unit to hold, retract and dispense the hose for the cleaning machines. The hose reel needed to perform accurately to avoid tangling and also provide a safe operating environment for the user.

The customer had also expressed an interest to be able to re-lubricate the sealed bearing in its position within the machine.

To meet the customer requirements, the Kilian team engineered a bearing that could be re-lubricated without removing or disassembling the hose reel. The ability to re-lubricate the bearing along with an anti-corrosive coating extends the service life of the bearing.
