M-Track Actuators and Wireless Controls for Remote Window Operators

Factory Windows

The facilities manager at a large manufacturing plant was having difficulty opening and closing the plants’ upper windows. At over 10 ft. (3m) off the floor, a moveable step platform was required to reach each of the windows.

To solve the problem, Warner Linear M-Track actuators and wireless controls were added to all the windows. Actuators feature an Acme screw drive and are completely self-contained and sealed to allow for use in small spaces without sacrificing power. M-Track models are available with load capacities up to 165 lbs. (75 kg), stroke lengths from 2 to 12 inches (50 to 300mm), and 12 or 24VDC motors.

Warner Linear’s wireless actuator controls can be used to remotely control a 12 or 24VDC actuator up to 100 ft. (30.5 m) away. It can be used with Warner’s standard line of P1 end limit controls. Models are offered in a single and dual actuator output for the 12VDC unit. The 24VDC unit is only available with two actuator outputs. All models have a manual override feature to operate the actuator without a remote. One remote is provided with each receiver unit, but the receiver can have up to four remotes programmed to work with it. The wireless system is an RF design operating at 915MHz.
