Altra ECB and Bauer Gear Motor showcase efficiency with new products at CeMAT 2016

As the world’s leading trade fair for intralogistics and supply chain management, CeMAT presents manufacturers and suppliers with the opportunity to showcase their latest developments. This year Matrix International, Warner Electric and Warner Linear, from Altra Industrial Motion’s Electro-Mechanical Clutches and Brakes (ECB) division, will be exhibiting alongside their sister brand, Bauer Gear Motor. Each brand offers unique and high quality engineering solutions for the intralogistics industry: this year ECB will be promoting a new range of IP67 brakes for forklifts, while Bauer will show its HiflexDRIVE range of geared motors for all applications and efficiencies.
Warner Electric will be introducing a new addition to its popular PK range of electrically released brakes.
The brands within Altra ECB are world leaders in the design and manufacture of hydraulic, pneumatic and electromagnetic brakes, clutches and linear actuators for battery powered vehicles. At CeMAT Warner Electric will be introducing a new addition to its popular PK range of electrically released brakes. The brake enhancements include a hand-release lever for manual operation combined with an ingress protection to IP67 as standard as well as corrosion protection. The latter two features are already proving popular with several major lift truck manufacturers, which have specified the units on their latest trucks’ designs.
Bauer will show its HiflexDRIVE range of geared motors for all applications and efficiencies.
The Bauer HiflexDRIVE is a highly flexible modular geared motor system that combines not only asynchronous IE2/IE3 technology but also the excellent efficiency of the super-premium-efficiency, IE4, permanent magnetic synchronous motor (PMSM) with the compact and highly flexible BK17 gearbox. Ideally suited to conveyor applications, the flexible design is available with stainless steel, ATEX rated or aseptic finishes as part of the standard range. Taking all aspects of EN 50598-2 into consideration, the HiflexDRIVE offers proven savings of over 30% under partial load when compared to asynchronous technology.
